About The Role

Our client is seeking a Vice President, Chief of Staff to serve as a strategic partner, trusted advisor, and operational leader to the President of their Marketplace division. This executive will drive execution on key business priorities, ensure organizational alignment, and optimize efficiency across the enterprise. The role acts as a force multiplier for the President, providing thought leadership and ensuring the leadership team operates at peak effectiveness to drive the business forward.

The ideal candidate is an influential leader with exceptional business acumen, strategic problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization. This high-impact role works alongside senior leaders to drive key strategic initiatives and shape the business at a transformational moment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Partner closely with the President to develop and execute business strategies, ensuring alignment with overall enterprise objectives
  • Assess competitive landscapes, gather market intelligence and serve as a thought partner on key business priorities
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and operational improvement
  • Drive execution of high-impact initiatives, ensuring accountability and measurable outcomes
  • Lead critical projects, identifying risks, dependencies, and success metrics
  • Help manage crisis response and executive communications during high-stakes business challenges

Executive Operations & Governance

  • Lead the strategic planning process, including annual goal setting, key performance tracking, and executive reporting
  • Prepare and facilitate leadership team meetings, executive briefings, and board-level presentations
  • Partner with the leadership team and HR to create and oversee team town halls and both team and leadership offsites

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

  • Act as a connector across the organization and enterprise teams, ensuring seamless coordination
  • Support organizational design, talent strategy, and leadership development efforts
  • Partner with Finance, HR, Product Development, and Commercial teams to align priorities and remove executive roadblocks

Qualifications and Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or executive leadership roles
  • Proven track record of driving significant business impact
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Deep understanding of healthcare, pharmacy, or marketplace business landscape preferred
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, challenge, and drive decisions at the highest levels
  • Ability to be highly collaborative and think as a team
  • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing large-scale initiatives in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Time Zone: Central or East preferred; ability to travel domestically required

Compensation

Salary Range for Texas location: $189,000 – $302,000
