Role Overview
As a Healthcare AI Clinical Advisor, you will play a crucial role in developing intuitive tools that facilitate patient-centered clinical trial matching. Your clinical expertise combined with your understanding of health data systems will help enhance the quality, accuracy, and usability of their AI solutions. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, scalable solutions that provide patients and clinicians with trusted, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and refine prompts and guidance to optimize generative AI model performance and reliability
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs to ensure clinical relevance, accuracy, and practical application within clinical trial matching technology
- Provide expert clinical labeling on datasets to establish validation benchmarks for model assessment
- Apply clinical expertise and understanding of patient needs to drive product improvements and innovation
- Utilize knowledge of health data ontologies and standards to enhance data interoperability and support accurate interpretation within clinical trial matching systems
Required Qualifications
- Advanced practice clinical degree (NP, PA, DNP, or equivalent) with minimum 3 years of post-certification clinical experience
- At least 2 years of oncology-specific clinical experience
- Experience evaluating patient eligibility for clinical trials or facilitating patient enrollment in clinical trials
- Strong knowledge of health data production and application, particularly in consumer health and clinical settings
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams, working with product managers, engineers, and R&D professionals from non-clinical backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience evaluating generative AI outputs, with knowledge of safety protocols demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications or product development work
- Background in digital health product development from concept to clinical or market implementation
- Familiarity with health data ontologies and standards for effective interpretation of structured health information
Location and Work Arrangement
This position is based in San Mateo, California, with a hybrid work arrangement offering flexibility between remote and in-office work.
